Raise your hands if you’re dressing up this Halloween! I usually wear my hair straight or create light curls depending on what my day looks like, but this year I’m dressing up as a Devil and wanted to create a simple updo that would accentuate my costume. While in Chicago I stopped by Target to get all the essentials; everything from my Devil costume, fun accessories, hair products and makeup. In order to create my “stylish Devil” look I started with:
- Creating some volume! There are many ways to go about this, but I started by separating my hair in two, the upper and lower part. I started taking sections of my hair and creating some volume by spraying TRESemme Voluminous Hold Hairspray in the roots of my hair. This creates a structure and support! Grab a section of your hair, pull you hair up and start teasing it. IMPORTANT: hold the hair at the top and push the comb down.
2. Continue doing this with the entire upper part of your hair and when you’re done simply comb your hair back. I then pulled my hair in a ponytail and created a low bun.
3. Make sure to check for any loose hair. Add some hairspray if needed and make sure your bobby pins are not showing…(this happens to me all the time…haha).
4. I finished my Devil look with my e.l.f cosmetic set, including red lipstick, black eyeliner and a light purple eye shadow. What do you guys think? Simple and fun! Now I just need to get my Devil horns…haha. I will confess this is probably the most makeup I have worn all year…as you might have noticed from my pictures I usually like to keep my makeup natural.
Lucky for you Target is now offering s $5 GiftCard when you buy 4 Unilever hair products until the 31st. You can shop all the products I used to create this fun look here. Are any of you dressing up this Halloween? I would love to see your Halloween outfits, feel free to share them by the hashtag #prettyspooky.
