Happy Monday Amigos! After traveling for over three weeks (Punta Cana, Bogota, Miami, NYC and Washington DC) I’m happy to be back in Abu Dhabi. Even though I’m extremely jet lagged I have a busy week ahead of me working on launching new Soraya Hennessy products, attending events and meetings in Dubai and catching up with friends. The first day of Spring is just a few days aways (March the 20th) and with that means updating your closet with the latest trends in Spring sweaters. This Spring is dominated by cold shoulder sweaters (as seen above), bell sleeves sweaters, sweaters with ruffles, oversize and deconstructive sweaters. What do all these type of sweaters have in common? They are the key piece to your outfit!
These five different type of Spring sweaters are eye catching and different from the typical long sleeve sweater. I love this JOA cold shoulder sweater; the high neck is perfect for the chilly weather and the open shoulders add a touch of feminine and chic to my outfit. A bell sleeve sweater offers a fun movement on the sleeves. Sweaters with ruffles are feminine, playful and available at any budget as seen here and here. Oversize sweaters are extremely comfortable, they can be styled up or down according to your occasion and perhaps a more classic alternative to the sweater trend this spring. Deconstructive sweaters are a big trend this season and are a chic and modern take for your Spring wardrobe. If you are styling any of these sweater for Spring I would recommend going simple with the bottoms. You can wear a pair of classic black leggings and booties, skinny jeans or white denims while keeping the attention on the sweater. I keep the attention on my JOA sweater by styling it with these high rise skinny jeans (under $100) and classic black heels while out in Miami. Below I’m sharing my top 10 favorite sweaters for Spring. Which one is your favorite?
