I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know a lot of you loved my post about “What To Do and See in Abu Dhabi” so I want to continue the travel recommendations and share my top 3 hotels in Abu Dhabi with all of you. Not all of you might know that I went to school in Chicago for Hotel Management and worked for the Hyatt Hotels after graduating college. I always had a dream of opening my own hotel in Venezuela and showing people how beautiful my country is. I’ve always had a fascination with hotels so it’s no surprise to hear I am extremely picky when it comes to recommendations on hotels for my friends and family and also finding a place for Tom and I to stay during our travels. As some of you might have seen on InstaStories Tom and I have a weekend tradition of going for afternoon tea in Abu Dhabi and we try to move around the city and explore a new hotel every time. Are you loyal to a certain hotel chain? What do you look for when deciding where to stay?
Location, location…location! If you are looking for a beach vacation in Abu Dhabi then the St. Regis Saadiyat is your place! Personally I believe it offers the best beach in Abu Dhabi and its also close enough to the city (10 – 15 minute drive) for you to visit some of the main attractions like the Emirates Palace or Corniche. The hotel has over 4 different restaurants for you to choose from such as 55th & 5 Grill (steakhouse), Japanese food at Sontaya or sunset drinks at Turquoise. You will be spoiled by the St. Regis 5 star service and spacious room with balcony. I will also say the St. Regis offers the best Friday brunch in the city! I love the their mojito station, extensive cheese selection (the entire second floor), the mix of Arabic and American food and the live music is the final touch.
The Four Season is one of the most beautiful properties in Abu Dhabi. Unlike most of the other properties in the city the Four Seasons has a modern aesthetic. As soon as you walk in the lobby you will be greeted with the most beautiful fresh flowers (they changed them weekly). The hotel lobby offers my favorite afternoon tea in the city and the natural light is also perfect for you to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and get some work done. The Four Seasons also has ladies night on Tuesday’s, offering free appetizers and prosseco for women. The hotel rooms are spacious and modern, some of them offer views to the water and it dosn’t hurt that the Four Seasons also connects to the best mall in the city, the Galleria Mall and some of my favorite restaurants such as Coya and Loca.
The Shangri-La Hotel was actually one of the first hotels in Abu Dhabi that Tom and I “discovered.” It is adjacent to the Souq Qaryat Al Beri which offers great restaurant options and shopping. The Shangri-La Hotel has by far one of my favorite pools to date. The view to the Grand Mosque is unbeatable and if the pool is not your thing you also have a small stretch of beach for you to swim in the Gulf. Feel free to catch the sunset over the Mosque while smoking shisha outside.
I know some of you might be planning a trip to Abu Dhabi during the Fall season, so if you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to email or DM me. Than you for reading and have a great week!
