One of the topics I get ask the most to write about is swimsuits! This is a personal topic for me, even though I grew up going to the beach and now I live in front of the water I’ve never felt 100% confident in a swimsuit. Shopping for swimsuits is one of the toughest experiences and something I completely dread. I find it hard to find swimsuits that fit my body. I love brands such as Solid and Striped (they have the cutest prints) but they offer no support on the chest area which makes it hard for me wear. If you’re in the bustier side I would recommend swimsuits from VIX (their bikini top ranges to D cup) and ASOS has a wide variety of sizes. Last summer I did a roundup of my favorite one piece swismuits and recieved great feedback so I want to go ahead and share some of my favorites one piece swimsuits this Spring! As mentioned on this post the market for one piece swimsuits is hugeee and slightly overwhelmeling. It all depends on what you are looking for; a classic one piece like this one, a sexy piece for a summer vacation with you partner or perhaps a retro swimsuit like this one.
I spotted this red ASOS 3D flower swimsuit and honestly I had to try it out! Even though I was a bit hesitant about the fit the affordable price tag made it hard to say no. I was extremely surprise, this swimsuit is definitely an eye turner and something different from anything else I would wear. The flowers are defininetely on the big size…so this swimsuit is not meant for a shy person. It’s high-cut leg and has a scoop back, overall something different and bold but I can see myself wearing this ASOS swimsuit again with Tom in the Maldives. I added my go to Soraya Hennessy Fiesta bucket bag, perfect for the beach and summer.
Fun, Stand out: Bold and colorful pieces but overall fun! I love this Caroline Constas Tinos one piece, the peplum is so cute and it comes in 5 different colors.
Conservative: There’s something sexy about not showing to much skin but enough to be comfortable at the beach. This Normal Kamal inspired by the 50’s is my favorite one and it comes in several colors. Do you all remember saying Taylor Swift wearing a similar style swimsuit? I also love this Solid and Stripes white tuxedo inspired one piece.
LUX (over $250): I had the pleasure to showcase Soraya Hennessy alongside Marysia in Paris in January as seen on my InstaStories Highlights and her swimsuits are a piece of art. They don’t have much support on the chest area either so they are hard for me to wear it but they are one of the best selling swimsuit brands for a reason. I love this peplum one and this red piece.
Currently you have brands such as Target making swimsuits at an unbeatably price but when shopping for swimsuits quality and fit are extremely important! You don’t want to be at the beach, finally decide to go in the water and when you come out your swimsuit material is so thin you end up flashing everyone. If you haven’t tried a one piece siwmutit yet I would highly recommend it; they are comfortable, classic, elegant and something different than the traditional two piece bikini. I would love to hear your feedback and which one is your favorite! Thank you for reading and wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.
